Arkansas Pole Barn Builders is a Conway-based builder of sheds and outdoor storage buildings serving homeowners and property owners across Central Arkansas. We work from 812 Court St in Conway and build in the communities around us, from Greenbrier and Vilonia down through Maumelle and Little Rock and west toward Morrilton and Perryville.

Our focus is straightforward: buildings that fit the property, hold what they are supposed to hold, and still make sense five years later. That means asking about your storage list before quoting a size, and walking the site before deciding how the pad gets built.

Shed construction in progress on a Central Arkansas property

How We Work

Winter access matters in hill-country areas where a gravel drive can get slick, so approach grade is part of placement. Shelving depth should be chosen deliberately; deep shelves swallow items at the back while shallow shelves keep everything visible. Consider what happens during a heavy storm: where water arrives, where it leaves, and whether the building sits in that path. Wall height is worth an extra conversation, since a foot of additional height often adds more practical storage than a foot of additional length. Keeping the ridge line parallel with the house or the fence makes the whole yard look more deliberate. Matching siding and trim colors to the house is the difference between a building that looks planned and one that looks parked.

Ramps should be long enough to be gentle; a steep short ramp turns loading equipment into a two-person job. A short walk of the property with a tape measure answers more questions than an hour of browsing photographs online. Planning the interior layout on paper, to scale, catches conflicts that are obvious on a drawing and invisible in your head. Central Arkansas weather swings from humid summer stretches to wet, freeze-thaw winters, and a shed project has to handle both without complaint. Talking through the project before committing to dimensions costs nothing and routinely changes the final plan for the better. Keeping a foot or two of clearance on every side allows maintenance, trimming, and painting without dismantling anything.

What We Build

Our work covers storage shed construction, garden sheds, workshop sheds, utility sheds, barn-style buildings, and custom outdoor storage buildings.

Winter access matters in hill-country areas where a gravel drive can get slick, so approach grade is part of placement. Talking through the project before committing to dimensions costs nothing and routinely changes the final plan for the better. Hardware quality shows up in daily use. Hinges and latches take more abuse on an outbuilding than on anything inside the house. Keeping the ridge line parallel with the house or the fence makes the whole yard look more deliberate. For properties outside city limits, county requirements and easements can apply even where city zoning does not. It is worth deciding early whether the building will ever need electrical service, because planning for it is easy and retrofitting is not.

Slope across the footprint drives the site work, and even a modest fall changes how the pad has to be built. Ventilation matters more in Arkansas than in drier climates, particularly for anything stored in sealed containers or on a concrete surface. Choosing a finish that can be refreshed rather than replaced keeps long-term upkeep simple. Matching siding and trim colors to the house is the difference between a building that looks planned and one that looks parked. Door width decides more about daily usability than almost any other dimension, because a building you have to angle things into gets used less. Every decision about a outdoor building is a trade between footprint, budget, and how much of the yard you are willing to give up.
